One of the UK’s leaders in management education
The School of Management is one of the UK's leaders in management education. Its academic staff are second to none and renowned for their expertise in management and leadership issues. Their outstanding intellectual abilities mean that they are regularly involved in important research with colleagues around the world, and constantly working in partnership with organisations and industries challenged to perform well in difficult markets and stay one step ahead of competitors.
Executive Education and Continuing Professional Development
The continuously changing global market place requires that those in management and leadership roles need to develop their knowledge and skills far beyond their initial time in higher education. Management and leadership research is evolving and growing and there is a need for practicing managers and leaders to engage with that knowledge, to develop their craft and reflect upon those changes. The School has strong links with business and industry which bring mutual benefits, reinforcing the link between theory and professional practice. We have developed a strong reputation in working with large international corporates, business start-ups and small-to-medium sized enterprises, public and governmental institutions, through to not-for-profit and charitable organisations. Knowledge transfer can bring valuable and measurable benefits to organisations willing to question accepted wisdom and current practice. The staff within the School have a wide range of expertise and experience of working with many different types of organisations through:

As part of its continuing involvement in management education the School is also involved in many business research projects.
